Heinz Wolff

Sunday, 29th April 1928 - Friday, 15th December 2017
Berlin
Germany

Perhaps the best personification of the mad scientist on British television in the 70s. Not just a pretty face though, he made numerous contributions to the field of bioengineering, a term he first coined in 1954.

In 1979 he was chosen as judge for the contraptions built on the light hearted science/engineering show, The Great Egg Race, and fantastic it was.
